Moparfest 2007 – Canada’s
Largest Pure Mopar Show and Swap

MOPARFEST – now in its 28th year,
is Canada’s largest pure Classic Mopar Show and Swap
Meet. The Old Chrysler Corporation Auto Club (OCC)
wishes to announce this years event which will take
place August 18-19th. The event will be held as always,
at the New Hamburg Ontario Fairgrounds.
Our tradition of giving away
premier restored Mopar vehicles lives on in this years
Grand prize – a 1974 Dodge Challenger – 383 CID .The
vehicle will be awarded to 1 of the pre-registered show
vehicle participants whose 1986 and older show vehicle
is on the grounds on the 19th.
This is a fully rebuilt vehicle
with the addition of a “very strong”383, making for a
totally thrilling ride. It’s a solid rust free car
with a purple exterior and white interior, complimented
by a new set of Crager 5 Spoke Chrome wheels. Options
include dual exhaust, automatic transmission, power
brakes, power steering, AM radio. Later additions
include new 70 series white letter Radial tires, and
Bright Chrome Exhaust tips. This is a ready to cruise,
needs nothing car that really performs.
The O.C.C. continues our 12-year
association with the New Hamburg Optimist (NHO) Club
Ticket Car Give-away – and this year a truly desirable
Classic Mopar is waiting for its new owner. It’s a
1970 Dodge Dart 340 4 Speed, which is professionally
restored. The Car’s high impact Hemi Orange color
with black hood gives it a mean muscle look.
The option list is as follows:
340- 4- BBL, Black Rear Bubble Bee Stripe, Power
Steering, 70 series Radial Tires, Rallye Wheels. Floor
mount 4 speed, black interior, and AM radio.

Ticket are $5.00 each or 5 for
$20.00 dollars, It will also be drawn on Sunday the 19th
at the conclusion of the show, with all proceeds
going to local youth work. You do not need to be present
to win this car.
The winning continues with the
addition of a Saturday door prize - a new 5.7 Hemi Crate
Engine supplied by Chrysler Canada and its local
participating dealers. This prize will be awarded
by drawing from the pool of all show vehicles on display
on Saturday. Not bad to have a chance at a new Hemi
engine with the latest technology, just for being at the
event on Saturday.
In addition to the above – the show
offers its traditional activities: an Indoor Display of
special interest vehicles, 2 Engine Blow Contests, 190
Swap Meet spaces, main-stage entertainment, with a
children’s ride and play area. The For Sale - Car
Corral, along with the 13 local dealers, showing new and
special feature vehicles, are also part of the event.
Moparfest has now become North
America’s 3rd largest pure Mopar event of its
kind – and the only show to donate its proceeds to local
youth and community work activities. To date the event
has raised 1.3 million Dollars for 14 different groups
who participate. Come see over 1400 show vehicles
and join the over 15,000 spectators expected over the
weekend.
